Holy Ground

Written by Jim Johnson November 16, 2011

(tune: “Peaceful, Easy Feeling”)

I like Your promise of eternal life
Against the Devil’s life of sin
And I wanna walk with You in the garden today
With the Peace of God all around

So I’ve got a peaceful, holy feeling
And I know God won’t let me down
Since I’m already standing
On Holy Ground!

Oh, I found out a long time ago
That Jesus Christ can save your soul!
Just confess that He is Lord indeed
And He will show you The Way to go!
(repeat chorus)

I get this feeling that I know You
As my Savior and my Friend
But this voice keeps whispering
In my other ear
“I can never tempt you again!

So I’ve got a peaceful, holy feeling
And I know God won’t let me down
Since I’m already standing;
Oh, I’m already standing,
Yes, I’m already standing
On Holy Ground!
Oooo, oooo
